A Commitment to Exceptional Care
Edith Sanford Breast Center's accreditations demonstrate our commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and access to a full spectrum of services. Accreditation is an important measure of quality, designed to improve safety and the patient experience. We hold many different accreditations throughout our footprint, and these are some of the accreditations held at our different locations.
Commission on Cancer Accreditation
Centers recognized by the Commission on Cancer are making exceptional efforts to improve the survival rates and the quality of life of cancer patients. Cancer programs receive this distinction by setting high standards in prevention, research, education and the monitoring of comprehensive quality care. Programs with CoC accreditation are recognized for providing quality cancer services close to home and a multidisciplinary team approach to care. In addition, they follow evidence-based national treatment guidelines, have access to clinical trials and the newest treatment options and offer follow-up care that utilizes a survivorship care plan.
Quality Oncology Practice Initiative Certification
The American Society of Clinical Oncology acknowledges practices that meet certain defined quality and safety standards in the administration of cancer care. To achieve QOPI® Certification, a practice must meet or exceed a benchmark score on measures comparing the quality of their care against national standards. By choosing a practice certified by QCP™, you know you have selected a practice committed to delivering the highest quality cancer care.
